One of our core session ales

Named after the famous Red House in Bexleyheath,  home of William Morris, one the founders of the Arts and Crafts movement. REDHOUSE is a darker Pale Ale combining Crystal malts with English Goldings hops for a richer flavour. This ale has a very clean finish and late-hop bitterness.

BOB (Bexley’s Own Beer) is a deliciously smooth pale ale. This ale is made with a combination of Crystal malts together with UK and New World hops, giving a floral aroma with a well balanced flavour of gentle bittering and a lingering subtle sweetness.

Our golden ale, named after the small green next to St Johns Church in Bexley Village.

A single malt golden ale made from Maris Otter barley and combined with US and Australian bittering hops to produce a refreshing ale with a zesty citrus flavour.

Our FOUR SEASONS RANGE,  from light to dark, perfect for the changing seasons.

The current FOUR SEASONS ale is…

May Place, Spring Ale 4.1%  is the 1st in our ‘Four Seasons’ range of ales.

A light amber Pale Ale, packed with the aroma of melon and apricot. Fresh tasting, just like Spring.

Available in cask and 500ml bottle (bottle conditioned)


Previously in the Four Seasons range;

Five Arches Summer Al3.8%  is the 2nd in our ‘Four Seasons’ range of ales.

A Golden Pale Ale, brewed using UK Sovereign hops, which give a low bitterness with a refreshing, traditional fruity hop finish.

Old Mill Autumn Ale 4.5% is the 3rd in our ‘Four Seasons’ range.

A dark, malty beer, made with Pale, Crystal and Dark malts to give a very well rounded, rich Best Bitter with slightly chocolate notes. It is hopped with English bittering hops to give it a strong bitterness, but smooth flavour.

Crook Log, Winter Ale 5.2% is the 4th in our ‘Four Seasons’ range

A deep ruby ale combining darker malts and UK Goldings hops to produce a rich taste with a hint of fruity spice.  Just right for the winter evenings!

Originally a seasonal ale, now an occasional.

Black Prince Porter combines brown, chocolate, black and crystal malts to produce a dark rich ale with a roasted, vanilla aroma and a sweet chocolate, coffee flavour.

Our ‘HOWBURY’ range of single brew craft ales, each brewed with different malts and hops.

HOWBURY 6 – ENGLISH PALE ALE 5% ABV  available now

An amber Pale Ale hopped with UK Cascade and East Kent Goldings for a strong floral, citrus, lychee aroma. Only in cask 

 

Past Howbury Brews;

Howbury 1 – 3 Hopped Pale 4.5%  – A light amber Pale Ale with a delicate citrus flavour and a long hop after taste. Using UK, US & Australian aroma hops to give a soft floral aroma.

Howbury 2 – Golden Sovereign 3.7% – A Pale Golden Ale, light and fresh tasting with the fruity and flora aroma of Sovereign hops.

Howbury 3 – Bexley Special Bitter 5% – A Dark and Strong ale, deep copper in colour, with a full bodied flavour of caramel and molasses.

Howbury 4 – US Cascade Pale Ale 4.7% – An amber ale hopped with US Cascade to give a taste and aroma of lemon citrus & pine, with a malty biscuity finish.

Howbury 5 – Tasman Pale Ale 4.5% – A light amber pale ale, hopped with Australian & New Zealand hops for a fruity hoppy taste.
